First thing you should know — I love to talk! I’m really enthusiastic and outgoing, so meeting new people and being in the spotlight are great. I’m involved in a lot of activities such as Black Caucus and the MSU Competitive Cheerleading Squad. I’m also in the Honors College. My major is communication, which is one of the big reasons I chose MSU. We’ve got a fabulous communication program.
I live in Akers Hall and I would definitely recommend it. I love how the rooms are set up with two bedrooms and a living room. It lets you be somewhat separated from your roommate, or if there are three to a room, you can turn the living room into a bedroom and than everybody has their own space. Last year my roommates and I knew everybody on our floor and everybody knew us.
Let’s see . . . how to describe it. Well, there’s always something to do on campus and lots of people to meet. Just to give you an idea of how many people there are: I’m an African-American female from Houston, Texas, and I was still able to find not only 75 other Texas residents, but also three other African American female Houston residents!
I’m a member of the MSU Competitive Cheer Team. We’re like a big group of sisters and always supportive of one another. Sure we do have our occasional cheer drama, but in the end, I can say I’m friends with all 40 girls and I LOVE IT. I really enjoy being in front of people and I love to compete. Go Green! Go White!

Here’s me and some of my friends at cheer practice.

Here I am with some friends.

Always making time to practice my jumps.
