Access Keys

Most web browsers support linking to specific pages by typing named access keys:

• Windows users
  • Mozilla Firefox & Netscape: Press ALT + an access key.
  • Microsoft Internet Explorer: Press ALT + an access key + ENTER
• Macintosh users: Press CONTROL + an access key.

All pages on this site use the following access keys for common tasks:

• 1 - Home Page
• 3 - Site Map
• 0 - Accessibility

All pages contain a 'skip to content' link for users who use speech browsers or keyboard navigation who wish to avoid the banner graphic and begin with the main content area.

Changing Text Sizes

This site CSS uses relative font sizes, compatible with the user-specified 'text size' option in visual browsers.

Links

Necessary links were assigned 'TITLE' attributes to describe the target in greater detail. Users of assistive technology may wish to set screen reader options to take full advantage of this feature.

Video Features for Flash player on the Be a Spartan home page

Captions and Transcripts

Synchronized captioning for each video can be accessed through the video player. Click on the "cc" button or use the keyboard shortcut "c" while the player is activated. Transcripts for each video with audio are also available.

Video Controls

After setting the focuse on the video player, the controls can be accessed through these keyboard short-cuts:

• Spacebar : Toggle Play/Pause
• Left Arrow : Play Previous Video
• Right Arrow : Play Next Video
• C : Show or Hide Captions
• F : Go to Full Screen
• R : Rewind Video
• = : Increase Volume
• - : Decrease Volume

Photos should be no wider then 165px.
